While some people judiciously follow the security measure of conducting Summers County arrest warrant searches on new acquaintances, others find the whole business futile. Unfortunately, they also live to narrate the tales of their regret. Of course, you don’t want to be in that second category, so read on to know how you can look for details on WV arrest records and outstanding warrants.

The first step to getting information on crime history is to assimilate information about your subject. You cannot just go barging into the police station saying that you need all the dirt on your neighbor “Joe.” You will need certain information to launch the inquiry, such as the subject’s full name, including any aliases if you know them.

Along with this, you will have to offer the date of birth or approximate age and possibly a driver’s license number or even the social security number of this person. Now, this is all well. Suppose you are trying to peek into a job candidate’s background, why you can ask the applicant to provide you with a background report if need to be, or at least let him know your intentions of searching. However, if you want to find out if a new neighbor or acquaintance has any arrests or Summers County active warrants to his name, offering this much information may be impossible.

In this case, you could still initiate the arrest warrant search with just the name and the approximate age, but your results will not be as accurate as you would like. The right way would be to research on your own by visiting the county clerk’s office. These agencies are located at:

  • The police: Summers County Judicial Annex, 123 Temple Street, Hinton, West Virginia 25951
  • The county clerk: PO Box 97, Hinton, West Virginia 25951
  • The court of the magistrate: Ballengee St, Hinton, WV 25951
